If Robert Griffin III is active this weekend, Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan doesn't plan to change the way he calls plays against the Minnesota Vikings. Shanahan said Thursday (via The Washington Times) that a player shouldn't be in the game if coaches have to worry about potential injuries before making a play call. Shanahan said Griffin has looked good in practice this week after sustaining a concussion last weekend against the Atlanta Falcons. Griffin has taken concussion tests after each practice and is expected to play as long as he doesn't experience a setback.
Fantasy Impact: There have been some who want the Redskins to hold Griffin out another week, but it seems he's on pace to play this weekend. Griffin practiced Wednesday and Thursday after being cleared. Fantasy owners should expect to have Griffin this weekend but will want to make sure he's active on Sunday. He's a low-end No. 1 fantasy option this week at quarterback.
