Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Demaryius Thomas has a gimpy hip this week, but he should be ready to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (hip) is expected to play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, reports Mike Klis of the Denver Post. Thomas was banged up in last week's game against the New England Patriots and was limited in Thursday practice (Klis notes that Thomas was "gimpy"), but he's not expected to miss this week's game. Thomas is enjoying a breakout year with 30 catches, 505 yards and two TDs through five games.
Fantasy Impact: There's nothing to worry about here - at worst, he might be listed as "probable" in the injury reports. Thomas hasn't had a perfect season - he lost three fumbles in the last three games - but he's mostly flourished under Peyton Manning and his YAC skills make him a home run threat every time he touches the ball. Thomas is a high-end WR2/low-end WR1 against the Chargers this week.
