With four NFL teams on bye and a ton of injuries, who should you be starting at WR in Week 6?
Welcome to Week 6 and to another installment of our wide receiver rankings.
Continuing the format from the last several weeks, consider the match-up information, along with target data, below. Both are becoming more and more important as we evaluate which wide receivers are the favorites for their respective QB's. And of course a general notes section will highlight some important points for the week. Let's start right there:
NOTES:
- Week 5 was a week of multiple touchdowns performances by wideouts. Marques Colston had 3 TD's to go along with 131 yards, Victor Cruz had 3 TD's on only five catches and Josh Morgan, Robert Meachem and James Jones all chipped in with 2 TD's.
- Although Reggie Wayne only had one TD, he had 13 grabs for 212 yards. Reggie has had a resurgence of epic proportions with his rookie QB Andrew Luck. Big things are still to come in Indy.
- Percy Harvin continues to be one of the most well-rounded and explosive wide receivers in the NFL. In Week 5, he hauled in 8 of his 10 target for 108 yards and a touchdown. He also added a rushing TD.
- Welcome back to Earth, Brian Hartline. He did catch four of his five targets, but for only 59 yards and no touchdowns. He is still a WR3 or Flex Start in Week 6.
- The bye weeks continue this week, so be sure to bench all Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints for Week 6.
- Besides the guys on bye, keep an eye on these injured wide outs: Wes Welker, Percy Harvin, Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings, Demaryius Thomas, AJ Green, Miles Austin, Brian Hartline, Peirre Garcon, Jeremy Kerley and Darrius Heyward-Bey.
TARGETS:
Fantasy wide receiver scoring can be fluky. But, one thing that you can't argue with is targets. See the chart below showing the Year-To-Date and Week 3 target leaders:

FANTASY POINTS ALLOWED (FPA):
FPA is a great judge of the strength of a future match-up. The number next to the teams' name represents how many fantasy points that team is giving up to the entire receiving corps on an average weekly basis. This data wouldn't force you to start Mike Williams (TB) as your WR1 just because they are playing the Redskins. But, it might help you break the tie between Vincent Jackson and Roddy White. Obviously, you want your guy to play against a team that is allowing a LOT of points to WR's:
