Fantasy Football 2012 - Wide Receiver Rankings Week 6

With four NFL teams on bye and a ton of injuries, who should you be starting at WR in Week 6?

Welcome to Week 6 and to another installment of our wide receiver rankings.

Continuing the format from the last several weeks, consider the match-up information, along with target data, below. Both are becoming more and more important as we evaluate which wide receivers are the favorites for their respective QB's. And of course a general notes section will highlight some important points for the week. Let's start right there:

NOTES:

TARGETS:

Fantasy wide receiver scoring can be fluky. But, one thing that you can't argue with is targets. See the chart below showing the Year-To-Date and Week 3 target leaders:

FANTASY POINTS ALLOWED (FPA):

FPA is a great judge of the strength of a future match-up. The number next to the teams' name represents how many fantasy points that team is giving up to the entire receiving corps on an average weekly basis. This data wouldn't force you to start Mike Williams (TB) as your WR1 just because they are playing the Redskins. But, it might help you break the tie between Vincent Jackson and Roddy White. Obviously, you want your guy to play against a team that is allowing a LOT of points to WR's:

Best Defense Against Opposing WR's

Worst Defense Against Opposing WR's

SF 49ers (15.38 pts allowed)

WAS Redskins (35.04 pts allowed)

HOU Texans (15.64 pts allowed)

CLE Browns (33.52 pts allowed)

DAL Cowboys (15.88 pts allowed)

TB Bucs (31.53 pts allowed)

NY Jets (16.44 pts allowed)

BUF Bills (30.60 pts allowed)

STL Rams (16.58 pts allowed)

NO Saints (30.46 pts allowed)

ATL Falcons (17.40 pts allowed)

IND Colts (29.10 pts allowed)

SEA Seahawks (17.48 pts allowed)

NY Giants (27.92 pts allowed)
