Pierre Garcon's foot still sore, fantasy value continues to stagnate

Brad Mills-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Redskins admitted that Pierre Garcon is still not 100%. We break down the fantasy implications.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (foot) is still not close to 100%. According to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan, coach Mike Shanahan admitted that Garcon's toe is "quite sore" and he's "not close to anywhere near full speed."

Garcon was inactive against the Minnesota Vikings after suffering a setback in practices. He has missed three games this season with a lingering foot injury.

Fantasy Impact: It's not sounding like Garcon is ready to go this week against the Giants. We'll keep an eye on practice reports as usual, but it's worrisome that Garcon's foot is still not close to healed.

At this point, Garcon's fantasy value is quickly drying up. Owners should hopefully have better alternatives on their team with all the time he's missed. Don't count on him until further notice.
