DeMarco Murray has foot sprain, possibly out for Week 7: Fantasy implications

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

DeMarco Murray has a sprained foot and could miss Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Updating a previous item, the Dallas Cowboys have confirmed that RB DeMarco Murray has a sprained foot and could miss next week's game against the Carolina Panthers. Murray's MRI revealed no broken bones in the foot, but there is some ligament damage that will keep him on the shelf for some time.

Murray left Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens after rushing for 93 yards on 14 carries.

Fantasy Impact: Another tough break for the injury-prone runner, but things could have been much worse. Murray is a solid RB2 fantasy player, with Top 5 upside if healthy, but those injuries keep holding back his potential.

Go ahead and snag Felix Jones off the waiver wire if he's still available. He'll be a fine fantasy option against the Panthers' porous defense.
