Troy Taormina-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Alex Green will be the Packers' main workhorse at RB now. We break down the fantasy implications.
Green Bay Packers RB Alex Green will get the majority of the workload at RB, reports Ty Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed this news in a press conference Monday, saying there's "no reason to think he can't carry a full load."
Green had 22 carries for 65 yards in the Packers' Sunday Night win over the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Impact: Not much of a surprise, given the Packers' depth issues at RB. With Cedric Benson out with a Lisfranc injury and Brandon Saine being put on IR with a torn ACL, the team is down to Green, James Starks and Johnny White in the backfield.
Green is hardly an inspiring fantasy play from week-to-week, but he has some minor flex value against the St. Louis Rams in Week 7. Starks remains little more than a roster stash.
