San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates had a breakout performance on Monday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, catching six passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. We break down the fantasy implications.

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates had a breakout performance on Monday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, catching six passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Most of Gates' production came in the first half, when the Chargers took a 24-0 lead over the Broncos.

Gates and the Chargers slowed down in the second half, though, losing the game 35-24. Still, the performance was by the far Gates' best of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Antonio Gates' fantasy owners have been waiting for a performance like this all season long. Gates hasn't looked nearly as dominant this season as he has in years past, but the Chargers' tight end put it all together on Monday Night Football.

Gates may not be in the discussion as one of the elite tight ends in fantasy football, but he should be a reliable top 10 option for the rest of the season.
