Eric Decker led the Broncos with six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown during Monday night's comeback win over the Chargers. We break down the fantasy implications.
Eric Decker had six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown during the Denver Broncos' comeback win over the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football in Week 6. His day would have been even better, but he tripped on the 45-yard line for what would have been an 85-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
Decker has now caught a touchdown in three consecutive games after being shut out of the end zone during the first three weeks of the season. His production coincides with Peyton Manning's stellar play at the quarterback position. Manning has thrown nine touchdown passes over his last three games.
Fantasy Impact: Decker is averaging 9.5 targets per game over his last four outings, suggesting that Decker's production isn't an aberration. As long as Manning is lighting up secondaries, Decker should be considered a weekly fantasy starter in most formats.
Decker will be forced to sit this week due to a bye, but the Broncos come back in Week 8 with a tantalizing matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Decker could put up big numbers in a potential shootout between two elite quarterbacks.
