Greg Jennings still not practicing with Packers, Week 7 fantasy value remains low for now

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings (groin) was held out of practice again on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings was held out of practice on Wednesday, as the team continues to wait for him to return from a groin injury. Jennings hasn't played since re-aggravating his groin injury against New Orleans in Week 4.

On Sunday, Aaron Rodgers threw six touchdowns without Jennings on the field. Jordy Nelson caught three, James Jones had two and Randall Cobb finished with more than 100 yards receiving. The Packers play the St. Louis Rams in Week 7.

Fantasy Impact: The Packers hadn't looked great on offense without Jennings -- that was until they played the Houston Texans. Expect Jennings to wait until he's healthy before coming back, especially wow that things seem to be going smoothly on offense. The Packers were hoping Jennings could return in Week 7 but that's not a sure bet.

Nelson, Jones and Cobb (in that order) will all be good fantasy plays this week if Jennings is out again. Fantasy owners should monitor injury reports later in the week just to make sure the right players are in their lineups.
