New York Giants wide receiver participated in his first Wednesday practice of the 2012 season. We breakdown the fantasy implications.
New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was limited in practice on Wednesday, per Ohm Youngmisuk. The Giants pass-catcher was been fighting through foot and knee issues this season. He's missed a couple games this season but returned against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
Nicks performed in that game, and seemed to be fine. Given that today (10/17) was his first Wednesday practice all season, it seems that Nicks should be good to go this weekend against the Washington Redskins.
Fantasy Analysis: Nicks appears to be on the right track. He seems to be getting healthier, and his participation in last week's game was a good sign. Even though it was the Victor Cruz show in Week 6, Nicks should continue to be a viable option for fantasy owners.
Nicks is a big-play threat in this No. 3 ranked Giants offense. Additionally, Eli Manning his playing at an extremely high level, so if Nicks is open, the Giants QB will find him. Nicks becomes a must-start as soon as this weekend against the Redskins.
