Minnesota Vikings wide out Jerome Simpson was a full practice participant on Wednesday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson was a full practice participant on Wednesday. Simpson has missed some time with some back issues this season. However, he has been getting healthier, and even felt good enough to play last week but was inactive.
A full participation early in the week is a good sign. Simpson is eager to get on the field and help his team win ball games. The Vikings are off to a surprisingly fast start in 2012, and he'd like to be a part of that. Hopefully he'll get his shot this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Analysis: Coming over from the Bengals in the offseason, Simpson all of sudden has some fantasy value with the Vikings. Receiver Percy Harvin is having a great start to the season, as quarterback Christian Ponder has been finding him quite a bit in 2012. But the team could use a viable receiver opposite him.
That player should be Simpson when he's ready to return. He could develop into a top-end flex option, thriving off the growth of Ponder and the Vikings offense. Monitor his status as the week progresses, because he could be worth a spot in your lineup this weekend if he's active.
