Check out some quick news on IDP guys as well as the top 30 for each position.
Let's get down to business and talk about which players are making headlines:
Man, it was a tough week for linebackers. Ray Lewis and D.J. Smith are going to miss the season with a torn tricep muscle and an ACL tear, respectively.
Jameel McClain is probably going to get most of the snaps and should be the Mike on most of the rushing attempts. He's got upside and teams are likely going to be able to move the ball on the ground against the Ravens. He has a fantastic matchup, so it might not be a bad idea. Although, Dannell Ellerbe might usurp the Mike role since McClain really isn't that talented.
Brad Jones should take over D.J. Smith's spot up the middle, but owners might not want to start him this week (he's not ranked below).
My boy Bobby Wagner is finally starting to make me look good. He was my cover boy in the IDP Rankings during the preseason and he had 14 tackles on Sunday. He should be owned in all leagues.
The Jets had a big week up front with Muhammed Wilkerson getting seven tackles and a sack. Rookie Quinton Coples four tackles and 1 1/2 sacks. I'd suggest just keeping them on the watch list for now. They do have some good matchups coming though.
Here are the rankings for Week 7. By the way, it's strange that 10 of out the top 11 DLs this week have their first name starting with J or C. Oh well.
You can ask me on Twitter (@MikeSGallagher) about your format since no two IDP leagues are exactly alike.
