Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE
Green Bay wide receiver Greg Jennings has still not returned to practice for the Packers because of a groin injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings was held out of practice again on Thursday because of a groin injury, making it more likely that he will no play this weekend against the St. Louis Rams.
Jennings has not played since Week 4, when he re-aggravated the injury in a win over the New Orleans Saints. If he does not play on Sunday, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb will again be featured at wide receiver.
Fantasy Impact: This is getting routine for fantasy owners, who should again be making plans to start someone other than Jennings at wide receiver. He has been a huge disappointment so far but his absence has helped those smart enough to grab Jones and Cobb off the waiver wire.
Jones is a No. 2 fantasy receiver if Jennings is out again, while Cobb becomes a viable option as a No. 3 receiver or flex play this week against the Rams.
