Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan says that wide receiver Pierre Garcon is a 'long shot' to play against the New York Giants on Sunday, but did not go as far as to rule him out. Garcon returned from a Week 1 foot injury recently but then sat out Week 6 after the decision was made that perhaps he came back too soon. The former Colts receiver had a big Week 1 but injured himself on an 88-yard touchdown catch and has either been out or ineffective ever since.
In total, he has 8 catches for 153 yards in three games.
Fantasy Take: Garcon looked iffy already and he'd be a very risky play even if he was active. Find another option.
