Russell Wilson did not fare well in his seventh start in the NFL on Thursday night. After a huge performance last week against the Patriots, Wilson completed just 9 of 23 passes for 122 yards and one interception in Week 7 against the 49ers.
He rarely looked comfortable, and couldn't manage to connect on multiple deep passes downfield. Wilson's receivers didn't do him any favors by dropping the ball a few times either.
Fantasy Impact: While everyone is quick to praise Wilson on the strides he's making in the NFL, fantasy owners need to remember he's a rookie in a run-first offense with few weapons to throw to. He can't be considered a starter at this point.
Next week Wilson will take on a Lions secondary that ranks right around the middle of the league in passing defense. We still suggest you look elsewhere for your lineup's sake.
