Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Monday that Russell Wilson will remain the team's starting quarterback over Matt Flynn despite the rookie's recent struggles. We break down the fantasy implications.
Russell Wilson will remain the Seattle Seahawks' starting quarterback despite his recent struggles under center, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed for reporters Monday. Wilson has struggled to take off as a promising rookie this season, throwing four touchdowns to four interceptions and averaging just 148.5 yards passing per game. He has yet to top 200 total yards in any game this season.
Fantasy Impact: Wilson won the Seahawks' starting job over Matt Flynn despite concerns over his height. He has yet to prove critics wrong based on his play so far. Flynn should be considered a threat to take over the job at some point, especially considering the healthy salary he is being paid. He is nursing an elbow injury, however, which could lock Wilson in the starting spot for the time being no matter how he plays.
