Jerome Simpson injury update: Fantasy value still low despite 'probable' status

Adam Bettcher

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson is listed as probable for Sunday's match against the Arizona Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson is officially listed as probable for the team's game on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Simpson has been dealing with a back injury but managed to practice in full all week. He is a good bet to suit up on Sunday.

Simpson spent the first three games of the season serving a suspension, and was injured in his second game back against the Tennessee Titans. He missed last week's loss to the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Impact: Jerome Simpson is a risky fantasy play coming off of his back injury. It's tough to gauge his role in the offense, given his limited action thus far this season. He only has four catches for 50 yards on the year.

Fantasy owners would be wise to wait and see what Simpson does this week before rushing to get him into their fantasy lineups. He hasn't proven anything at this point.
