Danny Amendola injury update: Still no timetable for fantasy return

Scott Rovak-US PRESSWIRE

Danny Amendola is out for Week 7 against the Packers. We break down the fantasy implications.

St. Louis Rams WR Danny Amendola (clavicle) has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. This news is only a formality, as Amendola will be out for about a month following a grisly SC joint fracture in Week 5.

Prior to the injury, Amendola was emerging as a viable deep threat for the Rams, with 32 catches for 395 yards and two TDs.

Fantasy Impact: Amendola's broken clavicle was extremely dangerous at first, but he's apparently recovering faster than the team expected. It's still not a given that he will play again in 2012, so consider him week-to-weeek.

With Amendola out of the picture for a while, the Rams will likely start Chris Givens opposite Brandon Gibson.
