Aaron Hernandez Injury Update: Questionable tag, probable for big fantasy day

Otto Greule Jr

Aaron Hernandez is questionable for Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Aaron Hernandez (ankle) was out for Wednesday's practice, but he was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday. He is listed as questionable for Sunday against the New York Jets.

Hernandez went down in the early part of the Week 2 game against the Cardinals. He returned to see nine targets last week that yielded six catches for 30 yards. His season stats include 17 catches, 89 yards and two TDs.

Fantasy Impact: Hernandez is expected to play and the Patriots are just taking care of their stud tight end. The fact that he saw nine targets last week is more than enough to tell fantasy owners he should be just fine.

Hernandez will likely be used to open up the middle of the field. The Jets aren't nearly as strong on the outside, so Hernandez may catch a long post-pattern TD. He needs to be in all lineups.
