Mohamed Massaquoi has been ruled out for Sunday's game between the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts due to a nagging hamstring injury, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Massaquoi practiced this week for the first time since getting hurt in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills. He was listed as questionable Friday.
Massaquoi has played just three games this season. He has nine receptions for 145 yards and zero touchdowns over that span. Josh Gordon's stellar play may have bumped Massaquoi further down the depth chart, even when the wide receiver is able to return.
Fantasy Impact: There isn't much at all to like about Massaquoi's fantasy prospects at the moment. He is struggling to get healthy, and he wasn't a particularly exciting option even when he was 100 percent. Factor in Gordon's increased role in the offense, and there is little excuse to still own Massaquoi in standard formats.
Gordon's prospects, meanwhile, see a slight boost now that there is less competition for targets Sunday. The Colts have given up 10 touchdowns this season to just two interceptions, making Gordon an intriguing WR2/Flex option this week.
