Geoff Burke-US PRESSWIRE
The Redskins' top receiver will miss another week with a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon will miss another game with a foot injury that he suffered in Week 1 as he is inactive against the Giants today. Garcon was injured on an 88-yard touchdown catch against the Saints in the season-opener and he has missed most of the action since. He did return for two contests, but was unproductive, and this will be his second straight inactive game.
Things started off very promising for the Redskins' No. 1 receiver, but he has had his whole season thrown off with this foot injury.
Fantasy Take: I'm sure that fantasy owners are getting frustrated and tired of waiting for Garcon, if they haven't already given up. However, if he ends up getting back to 100 percent, Garcon is in a great situation with Robert Griffin III and one of the top offenses in the NFL. There is also, of course, the possibility that the injury is even more serious than originally thought and Garcon misses significantly more time.
No other Redskins receiver is worth starting in anything but very deep leagues.
