The Ravens linebacker and reigning Defensive Player of the Year will make an early return to the field. We break down the fantasy implications.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is officially active against the Texans on Sunday, set to make his 2012 debut after an Achilles injury in the offseason kept him from playing in the first six games of the season. The return is much earlier than anticipated, but the Ravens had a myriad of injuries in the last week after losing linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Lardarius Webb for the year.

At the time of the injury it was thought that Suggs could miss the entire 2012 season, but he's now playing the day after being activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list. Suggs has had just three practices.

Fantasy Take: It's not likely that Suggs will get that many snaps in his first game back, but reports indicate that he's anxious to get some work in and help out the Baltimore defense. He would not be a good play today for Individual Defensive Player leagues, nor should he have much of an impact on team defense.
