Houston Texans running back Ben Tate (toe) is active today against the Baltimore Ravens. Tate missed Week 5 but came back last week to run for 14 yards on three carries. The Texans are leaning much more on Arian Foster than they did last season, leaving Tate with less than seven carries per game and he hasn't been as productive as he was in 2011.
He did have 74 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2 but hasn't gained much in any other week. Baltimore is 26th in total run defense this season and will be without Ray Lewis, though Terrell Suggs is active and expected to play.
Fantasy Take: It's hard to tell exactly how Baltimore will look over the rest of the season but it's possible that Houston will put up a lot of points today. You wouldn't start Tate but it's possible he could always steal five to 10 carries, especially if Houston grabs an early lead, and he's always a possibility around the goal line. Either way, Foster is still a top-end RB1 and should be fine even if Tate relieves him a few times.
