Jermichael Finley active: Fantasy status safe against Rams despite shoulder injury

Jonathan Daniel

Green Bay's Jermichael Finley will play in Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, despite being limited in practice due to a shoulder injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jermichael Finley is active for Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Rams despite being limited in practice this week with a shoulder injury. Finley was a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday, but was listed as probable on Friday's injury report.

Finley has not had more than four receptions or a touchdown in any game since the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. On the year, he has 24 receptions for 210 yards and a touchdown through six games.

Fantasy Impact: Finley will play Sunday, and as far as bye week options go, he's a good one. He has been a shaky weekly fantasy starter, however, with on-field attention lapses being a big culprit. Drops have plagued his last two seasons with the Packers, and his numbers have decline as a result. Against the Houston Texans, he had two receptions for 12 yards off four targets, all of which are season lows.
