Drew Brees is going off in a big way for the Saints and Fantasy owners

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

Drew Brees is on his way to a big afternoon and the Saints can't stop him.

Drew Brees is destroying the Tampa Bay secondary in the first half with his 20 completions on 25 attempts for 313 yards, four TDs and one pick.

Brees has a pristine 141.7 QB rating so far and he's hitting open receivers all game. He came into today with an NFL-high 344 yards per game, a 90.6 passer rating and tied for second in TDs despite already having his bye.

The Bucs secondary is hurting with Aqib Talib already out due to suspension and the Saints receivers have been running free while Tampa can't get pressure in Brees with their injuries to their front four.

This game has all the makings of a shootout and there's a very good chance Brees is going to be fantasy football's top scorer this week since he's on pace for over 600 yards and eight TDs. His picks are up this year, but Brees is one of the best players to own.
