Joe Flacco fantasy owners might go on IR after 2nd INT in first half

Patrick McDermott

Flacco is struggling to get anything going against the Houston Texans. It's been a familiar theme as of late for the QB.

With the amount of Ravens on defense getting injured lately, the pressure has shifted even further on the offense to lead 5-1 Baltimore to a top seed in the AFC. If Joe Flacco continues to play like he has in the first half against the Houston Texans, they might start needing to worry about making the playoffs at all.

Flacco is 7-of-20 for 50 yards, 0 TD and 2 INT. As Baltimore was driving late in the first half, trying to at least get a field goal to close a 26-3 gap just a little bit, Flacco's pass was batted by Whitney Mercilus and Glover Quin kept the ball alive long enough to come down with the interception.

Over his last three-and-a-half games, Flacco now has 2 TD and 4 INT, dropping his fantasy status to IR. (Ineffective Reserve.) Meanwhile, the Houston Texans seem to be taking a large lead in the AFC as the most dominant team.
