Rashard Mendenhall are Isaac Redman will not play against the Bengals. We break down the fantasy implications.
Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman are inactive for the Steelers Sunday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Mendenhall left last week's game early with an Achilles injury, while Redman is currently dealing with an ankle issue.
With these two running backs out, Jonathan Dwyer is expected to start in the Pittsburgh backfield. He should split carries with Baron Batch, who took over the workload in Week 6 after injuries took their toll.
Fantasy Impact: Mendenhall scored four touchdowns in two games against the Bengals last year, so the Steelers will certainly be missing him tonight. Both Dwyer and Batch haven't looked promising in limited action so far, but the Bengals run defense isn't exactly stout in this area.
Dwyer's 24 carries for 70 yards in 2012 should leave fantasy owners looking elsewhere. Neither running back is expected to go off in Week 7, but if you're really struggling with bye weeks and injuries, you may be forced to pick Dwyer based on pregame predictions.
