Jordy Nelson racks up numbers in Week 7 win, a big-play fantasy threat

Doug Pensinger

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson had great outing in Week 7. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson had another impact game for his team in Week 7. On Sunday, Nelson was challenged by the St. Louis Rams and their new cornerback tandem, made of Cortland Finnegan and Janoris Jenkins. Regardless of the match-up, Nelson asserted himself as Aaron Rodgers' go-to-guy in the game.

Nelson finished with 8 receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown as the Pack went on to win, improving to 4-3 on the season.

Fantasy Analysis: Nelson has been a favorite target of the Packers QB and reigning league MVP. This certainly bodes well for Nelson's fantasy value. He and Rodgers have developed a strong connection that's led to a lot of big wins as of recent. And by looking at Nelson's stat-line on Sunday, it's clear to see he's dominant in all fantasy aspects.

In PPR leagues, he is a threat to rack up points, having hauled in 8 passes just this Sunday. He will also break 100 yards and find the end zone. Nelson is a week-to-week must-start, no matter the match-up.
