Ben Roethlisberger went 27-for-37 passing for 278 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the Steelers' win over the Bengals on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Ben Roethlisberger went 27-for-37 passing for 278 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the Pittsburgh Steelers' win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Roethlisberger was nearly picked off several times in the first half, but ultimately escaped danger and found Heath Miller in the end zone before intermission.
Roethlisberger has now thrown exactly one touchdown pass in three consecutive games, raising his total to 11 on the year. His interception was just his third this season.
Fantasy Impact: Roethlisberger could have had a much better day, but Mike Wallace dropped several well-placed passes (he had eight receptions off 15 targets). While Roethlisberger didn't have a spectacular day fantasy-wise, he did not do anything to suggest he won't continue to be a solid option going forward.
The veteran quarterback could have a good game next week against an iffy Washington Redskins secondary. The Redskins have given up a league-high 15 touchdown passes and 328 passing yards per game so far this season.
