According to the Washington Post, Chris Cooley is expected to sign with the Redskins on Monday pending a physical. With Fred Davis now out for the season with an Achilles injury, Cooley will find a spot back on his former team.
Injuries have plagued Cooley's career in recent years, but if he can stay healthy, he can step right in and make an impact for Washington.
Fantasy Impact: Cooley caught 77 passes for 849 yards and three touchdowns in 2010. He only played five games last year, and then of course became a free agent this past offseason after struggling to prove his health.
Keep an eye on Cooley, but don't expect a huge return from him on your team. The Redskins are dedicated to running the ball, and RG3 spreads the ball around through the air. Cooley likely won't make much of a fantasy impact.
