Ryan Fitzpatrick is backed by coach, fantasy value remains stable

Tom Szczerbowski

Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't going anywhere as the Bills starter. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 27 of 35 passes for 225 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the Bills loss to the Titans in Week 7. However, his late pick opened the door to Tennessee's comeback.

Head coach Chan Gailey backed up his starting quarterback after the game after noting his one bad throw. Fitzpatrick won't be losing his job over one loss.

Fantasy Impact: It doesn't matter if the Bills win or lose for his owners. After two weeks of zero touchdown passes against tough defenses, Fitzpatrick bounced back nicely in Week 7 as far as fantasy numbers go.

The Bills have a bye in Week 8, then face the Texans in Week 9. You might want to hold off on Fitzpatrick for that matchup, but he remains a decent play for your lineup.
