Trent Richardson's Week 8 status is still up in the air. We break down the fantasy implications.
Trent Richardson is still dealing a rib cartilage injury, and his status for Week 8 against the Chargers is up in the air at this point. Head coach Pat Shurmur said the Browns will watch their rookie running back closely and determine the best course of action going forward.
Shurmur also said if Richardson is really hurting, he will not play. While Richardson wants to get back as soon as possible, he is still day-to-day at this point.
Fantasy Impact: Shurmur called Richardson a "warrior" and talked about the fact that he kept asking to play. Obviously he's a tough player, but the Browns aren't going to risk anything with their prized possession from this year's draft.
If Richardson is able to practice this week, he should have a good chance of playing at home against San Diego. Be sure to check on his status periodically, though, as there is no determination this situation right now.
