Matt Forte quietly racked up 100 total yards against a surprisingly tough Lions defense. He has solidified himself as a No. 2 running back.
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte put up a solid fantasy effort on Monday Night Football against the Detroit Lions, totaling 100 yards on 25 offensive touches.
The Detroit Lions have a formidable running defense, so Forte's performance was definitely encouraging. The entire Bears offense stalled a bit when Jay Cutler began to play hurt, so Forte's performance was more impressive than the stats indicate.
Fantasy Impact: Forte has been a hit-or-miss fantasy option this season, given his injury trouble and the presence of Michael Bush. Still, Forte has rushed for 270 yards and totaled 106 yards on receptions. He has only one touchdown this season, though.
Forte has some tough matchups the rest of the way, but his talent and involvement in this offense is undeniable. He will be a solid No. 2 running back the rest of the season.
