Matthew Stafford went 28-for-46 passing for 261 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Monday night's game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions. Stafford's lone score came with the game already decided. He found rookie Ryan Broyles on a 12-yard pass in the end zone with 30 seconds left in the game.
Stafford has yet to throw more than one touchdown in any of his six games played this season, despite posting decent yardage totals.
Fantasy Impact: Stafford salvaged his fantasy night with the late score to Broyles. It came, however, in what was essentially garbage time. The Lions were able to move the ball between the 20-yard lines, but were a horrific 1-for-4 scoring in the red zone.
There is very little to like about Stafford's fantasy prospects going forward, especially if Calvin Johnson continues to struggle making plays downfield. Try to find another starter in Week 8 with the Lions taking on the Seattle Seahawks.
