Dallas Cowboys running back DaMarco Murray did not practice on Wednesday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray did not practice on Wednesday, per Ralph Vacchiano. Murray has been battling a foot injury and his expected date of return is still unknown. However, having not participated in another Wednesday practice is not a great sign.
Murray should not be expected to suit up this Sunday when the Cowboys take on rival New York Giants. With Murray and Felix Jones hurting, the Dallas backfield is in a bad spot with a crucial division game coming up.
Fantasy Analysis: Even though it's early in the week, Murray can be ruled out by fantasy owners. This is also a bad sign, considering this injury looks like it's going to cost him multiple games. And with the nature of foot injuries, they typically linger and make it hard to project a date of return.
In the past two seasons, Murray looks like someone who could lead the league in rushing, if he can stay healthy. Owners should monitor Murray's status, but have a backup ready to go. It doesn't look like he'll be ready Sunday versus the Giants.
