Dallas Clark, fantasy owners looking for another solid game on Thursday

Mike Ehrmann

Dallas Clark had 51 yards and a touchdown catch in Week 7 and could be turning into a solid option at tight end. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Dallas Clark could again be turning into a solid option at tight end. Clark, for most of this season, had been a fantasy afterthought but that started to change late in last weekend's loss to the New Orleans Saints.

According to The Tampa Bay Times, Clark was targeted six times by Josh Freeman in the fourth quarter. Clark finished Week 7 with five catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. Tampa Bay plays the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.

Fantasy Impact: Is Clark going to save anyone's fantasy season? No. But he could become a solid option at tight end if Freeman looks his way on a regular basis. The Saints have a way of making a lot of players look good but Clark could benefit as the season goes along if teams start to pay more attention to Vincent Jackson.

For now, Clark is a No. 2 fantasy tight end but is a name to keep in mind if he keeps getting a steady number of targets.
