Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE
Jamaal Charles was a full participant in practice Wednesday for the Kansas City Chiefs after dealing with a bruised back a week ago. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jamaal Charles was not listed on the Kansas City Chiefs' injury report Wednesday, according to the team's official site. He was limited in practice last week dealing with a bruised back, but following the bye week it appears that he is now fully healthy.
Charles is having an outstanding season so far. He ranks first in the NFL averaging 98.5 yards rushing per game at 5.1 yards per carry. He also has 16 receptions for 125 yards. Charles has scored three total touchdowns on the year.
Fantasy Impact: Charles remains a weekly must-start due to his sheer talent. Unfortunately, his upside is capped somewhat by the team he plays for. Despite his production, Charles does not find the end zone as often as Arian Foster (nine rushing TDs), Alfred Morris (six TDs) or many other running backs due to a Chiefs offense that has few other to get near the goal line.
An Oakland Raiders defense giving up just 3.8 yards per carry on the year could be a difficult one for Charles, but his explosiveness still makes him a worthwhile fantasy risk.
