US PRESSWIRE
Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones (knee) returned to practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones returned to practice on Thursday and remains on pace to start in Week 8 against the New York Giants if DeMarco Murray is again inactive. Jones was seen wearing a left knee brace while doing some rehab work before practice. Jones did not practice on Wednesday as a precaution.
Murray missed last week's game because of a foot injury and did not practice again on Thursday. Jones had 74 total yards in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers starting in place of Murray.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners should be prepared to use Jones on Sunday as it sounds like Murray might be at least another week away from playing. Murray will almost certainly be ruled out on Friday.
For now, Jones should be considered a No. 2 fantasy running back for Week 8. He faces a tough matchup but should get most of the opportunities to run it against the Giants.
