Wide receiver Jordy Nelson did not practice for the Green Bay Packers on Thursday and will not practice on Friday either, according to coach Mike McCarthy. Nelson may test his injured hamstring on Saturday or Sunday.
Nelson's hamstring injury flared up in practice on Wednesday. He has 17 catches for 243 yards and four touchdowns in the last two games for Green Bay. The Packers face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: Nelson has been a fantasy standout the last two weeks and owners are certainly banking on him being able to play this week. Nelson owners will want to monitor injury reports this week just to make sure he's able to play on Sunday.
If he's active, Nelson would be a No. 1 fantasy option at wide receiver this week. If he can't play, James Jones and Randall Cobb would see an even bigger fantasy boost as the team will almost certainly be without Greg Jennings once again.
