Blaine Gabbert got a full day of practice on Thursday and expects to play in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert (shoulder) got in a full practice on Thursday and expects to play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Gabbert left last Sunday's game with a torn labrum to his non-throwing shoulder, but according to Vito Sellino, he looked good in practice and got nearly all the snaps.
Chad Henne took over for Gabbert in the game against the Raiders, and went just 9-of-20 for 71 yards.
Fantasy Impact: The team is exploring an emergency third QB this week with Gabbert banged up and Henne unreliable, but it probably won't come to that, as it sounds like Gabbert is determined to play.
Not that it should matter to fantasy owners, who hopefully don't have Gabbert on their team. He remains one of the worst fantasy QBs in the league and Henne is no better. Avoid this situation at all costs.
