Calvin Johnson injury: Back at practice, fantasy value at stake in 'Megatron vs Optimus Prime' matchup

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) practiced on Thursday. The Lions did not practice on Wednesday because of their Monday Night game against the Bears, but had they done so Johnson would have sat out. Johnson has consistently shown up on the injury report all season long, but has yet to miss any game time as Detroit is just being caution with their star receiver.

Megatron will be facing off against a difficult Seattle defense this week, and cornerback Richard Sherman has changed his Twitter handle to 'Optimus Prime' in anticipation of an Autobots victory.

Fantasy Take: Sherman is quietly emerging as one of the top cover corners in the NFL and is champing at the bit to go against one of the best the league has to offer. Peanut Tillman did an excellent job covering Johnson for the Bears on Monday and it will be interesting to see how often Matthew Stafford goes to his top target, especially with Nate Burleson out for the season.

This is definitely one of the top WR v CB matchups of the year, but it shouldn't keep Johnson from being one of your starting fantasy receivers this weekend.
