Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE
Doug Martin is already running all over the Vikings. We break down the fantasy implications.
Doug Martin exploded out of the gates on Thursday night, and he looks like he could put up a few career-highs against the Vikings in Week 8. After one quarter Martin has eight carries for 69 yards, adding a catch for an extra nine yards to that total.
The Buccaneers haven't given Martin 20+ carries since Week 2, but it's looking like he'll easily surpass that if he continues this kind of output.
Fantasy Impact: Martin entered Week 8 coming off a solid performance against the Saints last week. He's running with patience and confidence tonight, and Tampa Bay will have to keep feeding him the ball.
Unfortunately Martin was flagged for a false start at the end of the first quarter, and he did not play on the next three snaps. You can't expect him to remain on the sidelines for long, though, with the way he's running.
