Josh Freeman and Doug Martin have Tampa Bay up 20-10 on the Vikings through the first half. We break down the fantasy implications.
Josh Freeman and Doug Martin head into the locker room at halftime with their team up by 10 on the road. Freeman has completed just 10 of 22 passes for 85 yards, but two red zone touchdowns have boosted his stats on the night.
Martin has already set a career-high on the ground, carrying the ball 14 times for 106 yards. The Bucs offense is letting him go to work, and it's paying off right now.
Fantasy Impact: Tampa Bay should continue to lean on Martin with the lead in the second half. He hasn't found the end zone yet, but the fact he's getting goal line carries bodes well for his owners.
The Bucs just need Freeman to manage the game going forward, capitalizing on red zone opportunities when they come. His two scores give his owners some comfort to start off Week 8.
