Matt Stamey-US PRESSWIRE
Vincent Jackson didn't see much action in the passing game on Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Vincent Jackson caught just two passes for 40 yards on six targets in Week 8 against the Vikings. His quiet night came as a disappointment after he exploded for 216 yards last Sunday against New Orleans.
Mike Williams took the lead in the Buccaneers passing game this time around, and with Josh Freeman completing only 19 passes, only one receiver emerged as a top performer this week.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson looks like he's reverted to his boom or bust mode we've become accustomed to in the past. The Vikings secondary does rank toward the upper half of the NFL, so it's not surprising Freeman's numbers deflated a bit from his past two games.
Tampa takes on Oakland next week, a team currently allowing 254.7 passing yards per game. Expect more from Jackson in Week 9.
