Trent Richardson injury: Fantasy value dependent upon game time decision

Alex Trautwig

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is a game time decision today. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Cleveland Brown running back Trent Richardson was listed as questionable on the team's injury report on Friday. Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said that Richardson got in a good week of a practice, but he appears to be a game time decision.

Richardson was limited in all three days of practice this week with a chest and rib injury. Even though he's a little banged up, there's a chance the rookie workhorse back is able to go today.

Fantasy Analysis: Richardson was brought in to finally generate some offense. He has accounted for much of the team's production but this injury has been a minor setback. We've that that when healthy and starting, Richardson is already a must-start back.

He is guaranteed to get touches and is a dangerous scoring threat. He will also account for all-purpose yards, which is especially helpful in PPR leagues. If healthy today, Richardson should be in your lineup but expectations should be tempered, as he is set to face a fierce Chargers run defense.
