The 3-3 Dallas Cowboys host the 5-2 New York Giants in what can only be described as a huge NFC East showdown. A Giants win gives them serious breathing room, while a Cowboys win tightens this race up for the second half of the season. The game features a wide array of fantasy options, as well as pertinent injuries. In order to prepare you for fantasy football this week, we've got player projections courtesy of numberFire.
New York Giants
The Giants bring their high powered passing attack to Dallas to face a middle of the road Cowboys defense. The big question for the Giants is the availability of Ahmad Bradshaw. The Giants running back is questionable with a foot injury after missing Wednesday and Thursday practice, and being limited on Friday. Even if he is active on Sunday, he is a tough call. Given the 4:25 p.m. ET start of Giants-Cowboys, you might want to consider other options. If you have Andre Brown, he would not be the worst start this week.
The Giants passing attack remains a strong fantasy start no matter the opponent. Hakeem Nicks continues to get healthier and is listed as probable. His improved health further diminishes Domenik Hixon's value, meaning you should bench Hixon in all but the deepest leagues and worst bye situations.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are in a must-win situation in Week 8 and will have to do so without DeMarco Murray once again. The Cowboys running back is officially out for the game. His backup, Felix Jones, missed Wednesday practice and was limited Thursday and Friday. He is listed as questionable, but is expected to play. He might lose some touches to Phillip Tanner, which makes this a tough situation to work with in Week 8.
Tony Romo and the Cowboys passing attack has been a bit up and down, but Romo remains a solid enough quarterback option. He will have some big games, he will have some poor games, but he remains a decent start. His receivers are the same. Miles Austin and Dez Bryant are incredibly tough to figure out week-to-week, which means you generally just have to roll with them and hope for the best.
