We break down the pertinent fantasy projections for the Week 8 matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos.
The Denver Broncos host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football in Week 8, in a matchup that has a chance to be one of the bigger fantasy shootouts of the season. n order to prepare you for fantasy football this week, we've got player projections courtesy of numberFire, although it is safe to say you should start most of your Broncos and Saints.
New Orleans Saints
The big question mark for the Saints is tight end Jimmy Graham. He was limited all week and is listed as questionable a week after sitting out against the Buccaneers. An active but limited Graham generally remains a better option than most tight ends. Keep an eye on his game-day status, but it is likely safe to start him.
Other than that, all your normal Saints remain strong starts. Lance Moore blew up in his return to action last week and is worth a WR2 or flex start this week. Marques Colston remains a must-start each week. The only time not to start Drew Brees this week would be if you have Peyton Manning (see below).
The Broncos are this week's winner of the Saints defense sweepstakes. What does that mean? Playing the Saints is generally a fantasy boon. Peyton Manning is one of the best starts this week, and even if you have both Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas, you could make the argument that it is worth starting both receivers in the same league.
Even though this could be an aerial shootout, Willis McGahee is a solid option as well. The Saints have a poor rushing defense, and also struggle covering running backs on passing plays. McGahee is in line for a strong primetime performance.
