Wes Welker injury update: Questionable but should be fine for fantasy owners

Greg M. Cooper-US PRESSWIRE

Wes Welker is questionable for Week 8 against the Rams. We break down the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots WR Wes Welker (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's annual London game against the St. Louis Rams. Welker has been limited in every day of practice this week, but it doesn't sound like he's in any danger of missing the game.

Welker has been a fantasy PPR stud again this season, with 54 catches for 688 yards and two TDs.

Fantasy Impact: After Aaron Hernandez was abruptly ruled out this week, we are reminded that the Patriots' injury reports should never, ever be taken at face value. We probably won't know for sure that Welker will even play until Sunday's inactive reports come out.

Assuming that he is active, though, Welker is an easy fantasy WR1 play against St. Louis this week.
