Alex Smith (finger) put in a full week of practice and is fully expected to play against the Cardinals. He is listed as probable for Monday Night Football.
Smith has season totals of 1,427 yards, nine TDs and five picks this year. Thats' good for a passer rating of 93.9 thanks to a 66.8 completion percentage.
Fantasy Impact: There was some hope that Smith could take a leap as an elite QB with Randy Moss, Mario Manningham and A.J. Jenkins being added to the WR corps. It hasn't quite happened yet and it doesn't make much sense for the 49ers to lengthen the game with their defense.
Colin Kaepernick has also been useful in the red zone, which has knocked Smith out as a player that should be considered in 10-team leagues. He's not someone we'd look to start on Monday.
