Danny Amendola inactive: Fantasy prospects still on hold with shoulder injury

Danny Amendola is inactive for Sunday's game in London between the St. Louis Rams and the New England Patriots. We break down the fantasy implications.

Danny Amendola is inactive for Sunday's game in London between the St. Louis Rams and the New England Patriots. The wide receiver warmed up prior to the game, but the Rams ruled him inactive at the last minute. He was listed as questionable this week.

Amendola suffered a serious shoulder injury in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals, and has been sidelined since. The Rams are on a bye in Week 9, giving Amendola a very good shot of returning Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Impact: The Rams will roll without Amendola as they have the last two weeks, giving more targets to Brandon Gibson and Chris Givens in the receiving corps. Gibson has had 12 receptions for 151 yards over his last two games, making him a viable WR3/Flex play if you need a spare body in your lineup this week.

Amendola is definitely worth targeting once he is able to return. He had established himself as a favorite target of Sam Bradford prior to his injury, catching 31 passes for 351 yards and two touchdowns over his first four games of the season.
